Crofting

Crofting is a traditional part of Scotland's heritage. The Scottish Government offer many funding opportunities for crofters to retain the viability of their often small rural businesses in more remote locations.
Some examples are listed below:
- Provide or improve domestic accommodation
- Drainage of land
- Re-seeding
- Erecting fences and hedges
- Providing agricultural buildings
- Providing equipment to improve welfare
- Installing power or water services to the croft
The funding covers a vast amount of items of help to Crofters, if you are a Crofter and looking to invest into your Croft then please get in touch to see if there could be some funding available for you.
The Crofting Reform (Scotland) Act 2010 has meant that Crofters now need to register their Croft either voluntarily or as a result of a "trigger event". Crofters are also required to submit regulatory applications to make changes to their Crofts for example applying for an apportionment, decrofting or assignation of a tenancy. These are all services that Cameron Consulting can undertake on your behalf.
